A Wedding

It's not mine but of a friend. I attended a wedding reception last January 8. A celebration of the union of two beautiful people that I had the chance to know in this lifetime.
Mik and Gani have been through a lot of challenges and sacrifices in their relationship. I only had a short glimpse of their romance for I have known them only for only a few short years. It may have been only for a short time but they have shown and exemplified a love that may break barriers.
To Gani and Mik, may your union be blessed with God's wonderful graces. May you two, and the family that you're building be showered with love and happiness. Good luck and God bless!

Age Is Just A Number

I've always thought, turning 30 is a big milestone. I actually dreaded turning 30. Dreading it, not because I'm getting older but because of my NBSB status. Just like the movie Never Been Kissed but at least the heroine there is still in her twenties.  I would often kid that I would miss writing the 2 in the two digit number that is my age, now I have to use 3! It is silly but hey, that's is how I feel. I thought the big 3-oh would be such a dramatic change but you know, it's not. Still the same old me here, still interested in blogging, video games and cruising around in the car.  It's same old me but I'll try my best to be more mature, and more mindful for my future.  Age might be just a number but it's counting forward and we all have to deal with it. It's been awhile.

Wow, 4 years have past. A lot had happened. Moved to Union City, got a dog, became a US citizen to name a few. I thought the blogging phenom would last for years but like other new fad it's sizzle dies down eventually. Now you see blogs used by small businesses using it as a way to promote their wares over the Internet. Cheaper than setting up their own website since blog sites are basically free. I thought I'd be blogging away until I'm old and decrepit since I'm a closet 'writer' (to use the word loosely). But I find my spare time now spent on taking photos, editing vacation videos and not so much on the writing. The only time I was able to combine all three (well technically it's the idea I haven't finished the video part yet) was with my New York vacation.
